At the Tin shed we are passionate about having a minimal impact on the environment and surrounding area; that’s why we have decided to do things a little different here. We are an eco-friendly, sustainable site that is totally off grid which is something we are incredibly proud of! But don’t worry we still have the luxuries you need including electricity powered by solar panels to make your stay more comfortable.

As we are totally off grid, here are just a few of the ways in which we try to reduce our impact on the environment:

• we try to harvest rainwater as much as possible to use in our outdoor bath tub and sinks.
• We use the power of sun to provide you with electric needed inside of the shed and tent to keep you fully charged as well as provide you with light.
• We even have a composting loo too which isn’t as scary as it sounds as it has it’s own cabin and small hand-wash sink.
• We also provide torches and candles – we feel its more romantic this way too as we have very little light pollution so you can take the time to enjoy stargazing by the fire, just incase the batteries short.

We do also ask that wherever possible you take your rubbish home with you to reduce the risk to the local wildlife and the impact on the environment.

We also have a few neighbours of both the human and animal kind, as to not disturb either we ask you to keep loud noise to a minimum and that no music is played after 10pm. We also ask that no-one else joins you at the site unless prearranged.
