Within Walking Distance
We are just a couple of minutes walk from the Kennet & Avon Canal where you can take a walk in either direction with a pub or two along the way, head west towards Bradford on Avon and Bath or East towards Seend and Devizes. Heading East you can walk the historical Caen Hill locks taking a stop at the Barge at Seend or walk West to walk around the Tithe Barn at Bradford on Avon, you can even walk a little further to walk across the aqueduct at Avoncliff.
A Little Bit Further
We are around 20 minutes by car to the historic city of Bath where you can enjoy walking around the shops, enjoy bathing in the naturally hot thermal waters in the Thermae spa, take a look at the Roman baths or see the famous Royal Crescent, the backdrop for many films and TV shows.
Another firm favourite for us at around 40 minutes drive from us is the village of Bruton where you can enjoy lunch or dinner at The Chapel or enjoy a Michelin starred meal at Osip. Walk around the gallery at Hauser Wirth or enjoy walking through the deer park or formal gardens at The Newt.
We are also close by to a number of National trust owned properties, all less than an hour away, including Avebury stones and house, Lacock Abbey, The Court Gardens Holt, Great Chalfield Manor, Prior Park, Dyrham Park, Stourhead and many more.
