Staying With Us

Amenities & Accommodation

The Tin Shed is situated on a small piece of land in Semington, Wiltshire a 10 minute walk from the Kennet & Avon Canal and overlooking green fields. The Tin Shed is carefully placed on the corner of our family small holding nestled beneath the fruit trees of our orchard; if you listen carefully you may even hear our peacocks call or see our horse enjoying a graze.

We are now taking bookings for 2025. Our season runs between May-October for exclusive getaways in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside. The Tin Shed is the perfect getaway for two people or a family of four, as accommodation can be split across both the bell tent and the Tin Shed itself. At an additional cost we can provide you with hampers filled with local produce and even your own personal chef to cook over the open fire.

Unfortunately due to having neighbours of both the human and animal kind we regret that we are not able to accept pets at the site.

The Tin Shed & Bell Tent

At The Tin Shed we aim to bring you everything you would usually find when staying at a hotel with a little difference. Within The Tin Shed itself you will find the perfect mini space which has been designed and furnished by interior designer InTaraDesign with a midcentury modern design scheme with sustainability at heart.

As you walk into the shed you will find a comfortable dining table for 2 which can extend to seat 4, storage for your luggage and clothing, a sofa which converts into a sofa bed, lighting powered by our solar panels and charging cables for your phones as well as plenty of blankets to keep you warm.

Both the side and the front of The Tin Shed opens up for the warmer weather, allowing you to bring the outdoors. This gives you access to your very own veranda where you can watch the sunsets from a vintage hanging egg chair tucked up in a locally made blanket.

We have a cosy 6m emperor tent set up with a double bed and single futon for you to rest your head, complete with a dressing table for you to get ready and store your clothes as well as a comfy place to relax when you are not outside enjoying the fresh air!

Across all areas we can comfortably sleep up to 4 adults or 3 adults and 2 children (with accommodation split across both the tent and tin shed)

Outdoor Kitchen

We also think one of the best parts of the site is the outdoor kitchen, where you can enjoy preparing a meal in the fresh air yet under cover from the elements. The Kitchen was hand crafted using reclaimed scaffolding boards and adapting a gazebo which was stood buried under ivy for the last decade. Here you will find a sink powered by a hand pump to enable you to wash your hands as well as wash up after cooking/eating, a mini Kamado BBQ egg, a large cool box to keep your food cold, bottled drinking water, festoon lights, an outdoor fire pit, fresh herbs, crockery and table and chairs to seat 4.

Bathing & Compost Loo

As sustainability and nature is at the heart of what we do here, we wanted to find a way that we could make your stay unique and eco friendly without compromising on luxury. Here you will find your usual facilities like no other: we have created (with the help of our friends at My Unique B&B) a composting loo in its own cabin with toilet seat, a small hand wash sink and fairy lights. We also had an old cast iron bath which we have up-cycled and turned into your very own wood fired bath tub, all you need to do is fill up the tub, light the fire and then sit back and relax with a glass of bubbly or two whilst enjoying the sunset or the star lit sky.
