BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
It is strongly recommended that you are protected by holiday/travel insurance prior to making a booking.
MAKING A BOOKING
You must be 18 years of age or over to book accommodation and stay at The Tin Shed Glamping.
The maximum number of guests in the accommodation is four adults or two adults and two children. No pets of any nature for safety reasons.
All bookings via our online reservation system should be treated as provisional until you receive confirmation from us via email. To secure your booking payments must be made in full at the time of reservation, we will take a holding fee of £100 to cover any damages.
When you submit a booking and payment via our online reservation system you will be requested to read and accept these terms and conditions of booking. You will receive an automatically generated booking confirmation and payment summary by email to the email address you provided at the time of booking. This booking confirmation email forms a contract between you and The Tin Shed Glamping.
If the balance is not paid in full The Tin Shed Glamping reserves the right to re-let your accommodation and retain the deposit.
The prices featured on the website are not binding. We reserve the right to modify these prices at any time. The price stated on your booking confirmation email is binding.
The Tin Shed Glamping reserves the right, at all times, without statement of reasons, to refuse or cancel a booking.
In order to stay at The Tin shed Glamping site at least one guest staying must be a member of Wander camping and glamping club and membership must be provided at the following stages: when booking, during booking confirmation and upon arrival.
Membership can be proved by photo of membership e-card, printed or shown on a mobile device during check in.

If you fail to provide valid membership then we reserve the right to cancel your booking.
All bookings are non-transferable and cannot be sold to a third party.
CORONAVIRUS & HEALTH PROCEDURES
If you or anyone in your household (even if they are not travelling with you e.g. children, relatives) are showing signs of Coronavirus, you must not travel to stay at The Tin Shed Glamping and must follow government guidelines.
We operate both self and in person check-in at The Tin Shed Glamping. You must sanitise your hands on arrival before picking up the key pack. We provide suitable hand gel for this purpose.
If you choose to travel and self check-in you are certifying that you and your travel companion are fit and well and are not showing any signs of Coronavirus.
If during your stay you develop any Coronavirus symptoms, you must immediately notify The Tin Shed Glamping management and return to your home address and follow government guidelines. No refunds will be due in these circumstances.
If you are not well enough to drive home, you must notify The Tin Shed Glamping management and contact a health professional immediately for advice.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE TIMES
Your accommodation will be ready by 3.00pm on the day of arrival, and must be vacated by 12pm on the day of departure unless pre-arranged.
Due to the remote location of The Tin Shed Glamping and lack of external path lighting (for our local wildlife and neighbours), we encourage you to arrive before darkness in winter. If you anticipate that you will arrive after dark, you must notify us at least 7 days in advance with your arrival time and keep us updated if you are delayed on your journey to us. All arrivals must be before 9pm, all year round.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
If you cancel within 1 month of your arrival date, we will endeavour to re-let your accommodation. If we are unable to do so, then regretfully we will be unable to refund any monies paid.
Should you cancel prior to this date, we will refund any monies paid, or reschedule your stay for another date. An administration fee of £50 will be charged in this instance.
If you are unable to travel due to personal illness (e.g. Coronavirus or other sickness), our cancellation policy will apply.
We strongly recommend that you have appropriate holiday insurance cover in place.
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your holiday, we shall inform you as soon as possible and refund all monies paid to us, by you within 14 days.
If Government policies restrict travel and you are unable to travel to stay with us, you will have the option to postpone your stay to a later date (subject to any differences in price applicable for the new dates) or receive a full refund.
GUEST BEHAVIOUR & NOISE
It’s important to us that all our guests enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay with us. The Tin Shed is in a quiet location in the countryside with some neighbours close by and guests choose to stay with us because they are seeking to retreat, relax and unwind. To keep this peaceful tranquillity, we do not allow any music or radios outside of The Tin Shed. Please use headphones if you are listening to music outside, please also ensure that loud noise during the day is kept to a minimum.
After 10pm, the only sounds you should be able to hear are the birds chirping and the sound of the trees rustling, as you star gaze. If you want to party until 2am around the camp fire, then The Tin Shed Glamping really isn’t the right location for you.
In exceptional circumstances, we reserve the right to ask your party to leave if there is repeated noise after having received two warnings. As you will have breached the terms of your contract with us, no refunds will be forthcoming.
Drugs or prohibited substances are not permitted in The Tin Shed or on site, at any time. The Tin Shed Glamping reserves the right to refuse entry to the site or where entry has already been gained to insist the premises are vacated immediately of all guests whom we deem to be under the influence of drugs, alcohol or have been in anyway unreasonable, offensive or whom have caused damage to the site/ neighbours/ surrounding area or any member of the public. When such action is taken no refund will be given.
Due to our insurance conditions, visitors are not permitted in The Tin Shed at any time unless prearranged.
We provide a swinging chair, outdoor seating and a woodfired bath for guests to enjoy during their stay.
Please note:
- You use these entirely at your own risk and must use them in an appropriate and safe manner;
- We accept no liability for injury as a result of using this equipment inappropriately or whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
- The hanging chair is for use by one adult only at a time;
- You must not use any of these under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
COMMERCIAL USE OF THE PROPERTY
The Tin Shed Glamping site is rented to you for purely non-commercial leisure purposes. Filming, photography or other commercial uses including influencers/blogger content creation must be done with prior authorisation from The Tin Shed Glamping management. Additional charges may apply for commercial use.
CLEANING, DAMAGE & BREAKAGES
Please leave your accommodation tidy and let us know if anything gets broken so we can replace it for our next guest. Accidents happen and we will only charge for replacements in exceptional circumstances, as we expect a fair degree of wear and tear. If the damage is directly attributable to the guest, then we reserve the right to request payment and or reserved the right to keep your security deposit to cover all damages incurred directly during your stay.
All cleaning, under normal circumstances is included as part of your stay. If additional cleaning is required, including washing up, additional cleaning of the interior or fixtures and fittings then The Tin Shed Glamping reserves the right to charge for this work at a rate of £20 per hour. The Tin Shed Glamping reserves the right to invoice guests following their stay.
Guests will be charged for any item(s) that are removed or lost from the accommodation.
RUBBISH & FOOD WASTE
We do also ask that wherever possible you take your rubbish home
with you to reduce the risk to the local wildlife and the impact on the
environment. We will provide you with a bin bag and bin to store such in until you leave however we do ask you then take this home with you. We also strongly suggest you do not keep any open food loose in or out of The Tin Shed and ask that any food waste is placed in the bin and taken home with you as to not attract mice, rats or foxes.
DOGS & PETS
Sorry we do not allow dogs or pets of any kind at The Tin Shed Glamping. Our local area is home to deer, badgers, foxes, and other wild animals and neighbouring fields contain horses and livestock which can be scared by straying dogs.
SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted in The Tin Shed building, outside kitchen, bell tent or outside on any wooden decked areas. Smoking is permitted at ground level but please extinguish cigarette butts fully in the sand bucket provided and dispose of them responsibly.
CANDLES
Due to the high fire risk with a canvas structure, the use of candles and tea lights, are not permitted in the bell tent or near to the trees, at any time however are permitted within The Tin Shed should you experience a power shortage.
FIREWORKS & CHINESE LANTERNS
Due to the high fire risk with a wooden structure and canvas bell tent, the use of fireworks, sparklers and Chinese lanterns are not permitted across the entire site, at any time.
FIRE PIT & BBQ AREA
A purpose-built fire pit and seating area is provided for outdoor cooking and camp fires. There is also a mini Kamado grill for cooking. Please keep camp fires to the designated fire pit area and do not light fires anywhere else on the site. Only use the fire wood provided in the wood store (located under the Kamado grill.) Please do not collect branches and twigs from the surrounding woodland as much is set aside as wildlife habitat. Use of the fire pit and wood fired oven can be dangerous and is at the user’s own risk.
We supply different wood suitable for the fire pit and Kamado Grill for your stay. We will provide you with one bag of charcoal, fire lighters and a small bundle of logs for your stay, should you require more then this can be purchased on site.
If damage is caused to the fire pit or Kamado grill by using anything which we have not supplied you with you will be liable for this.
SERVICE UTILITIES
Should there be a failure in a utility service (e.g. water, electricity) please notify The Tin Shed Glamping management immediately and we will aim to restore the service as quickly as possible. However, should any utility service failure extend beyond a 12 hour period from notification, for your health and safety reasons you will be asked to leave the accommodation and your accommodation fee for the duration lost will be fully refunded or you will be offered to re-book for another time, subject to availability.
From time to time and if used inappropriately the batteries may short, in the unlikely event that this happens we have provided torches and candles for you to use however please note as mentioned above the use of candles is not permitted within the bell tent.
EXTERNAL LIGHTING
The Tin Shed is located within the Wiltshire countryside with a small handful of neighbours nearby and it has been carefully designed to provide maximum guest comfort and convenience whilst respecting the surrounding natural environment and its native inhabitants. Although we have festoon lights under the outdoor kitchen and veranda of The Tin Shed please note there is no pathway lighting to The Tin shed from the car parking area, we encourage guests to arrive before dark for this reason.
PERSONAL PROPERTY
The Tin Shed Glamping will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to any property on The Tin shed glamping premises. Vehicles, accessories and contents are left at the owner’s risk. It is recommended that your holiday insurance covers loss or damage to personal effects.

Please note should anything mentioned above or anything else be removed from the site we reserve the right to keep hold of your security deposit.
ACCESS, CARS & PARKING
We are located along the closed section of the A350 at Semington, if you are heading to us by car or taxi you will need to follow the postcode BA14 6JE, there is a small layby outside of the site where you can park if free, alternatively there are no restrictions anywhere along the road. Once parked you will need to head through the gate in-between the conifers.
There are number of ways you can head to us by public transport as we are 7 minutes by car/taxi from Trowbridge train station and also 20 minutes by car/taxi from Chippenham train station where you can find connecting trains to and from London, Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Salisbury and the South and North.
At the top of the road we also have a bus stop which is serviced by Stagecoach route 49 and First 234 and X34 lines.
Please be considerate of neighbouring properties on your arrival and departure from the site, this includes keeping noise to a minimum as well as being mindful of walkers and pedestrians as well as children living near by.
SAFETY
Whilst staying with us your safety is of course paramount to us,
you are of course in the great outdoors and we do urge you to have caution as well as use common sense during your stay with us, please remember that surfaces may become uneven and slippery when wet so suitable clothing and footwear is advised. We also remind you to wear suitable clothing to meet weather conditions. Please also remember to tend to the fires and kamado grills with care and caution and never leave a fire unattended. Please make sure when you are using either the fire pit or Kamado Grill you wear the gauntlets provided to minimise the risk of burns. For your safety please only use products which we have provided. This includes yet is not limited to logs, fire starters and matches. Please note The Tin Shed is equip with a fire alarm and a first aid kit can be found within the top drawer of the cabinet as you enter. Located in the outdoor kitchen you will also find a fire extinguisher and fire blanket in the unlikely event of a fire please however dial 999 in the case of an emergency
as well as notify us ASAP.
At The Tin Shed we are 100% off grid and therefore use solar panels as our source of electricity, when you walk into The Tin Shed you will see a small kitchen unit with an air vent on the side, this is our electricity box and where the batteries and inverter are kept. We ask for your own safety you do not touch anything in here and instead if you have an issue with the electrics please contact us ASAP.
You are fully responsible for your own safety at all times!
EXTREME WEATHER
The Tin shed Glamping holds no responsibility for guests who are unable to attend The Tin Shed due to extreme weather or traffic conditions (e.g. snow, flooding, high winds, road traffic accidents/congestion, train delays, etc.). If a guest is unable to reach The Tin shed Glamping due to adverse weather conditions or travel issues, you will lose your full payment and an alternative date will not be offered. Please ensure you have full holiday / travel insurance to cover such eventualities.
If we make the decision to cancel your stay for safety reasons due to extreme weather (snow or high winds), we will offer you an alternative date, subject to availability.
FORCE MAJEURE
The Tin Shed Glamping accept no liability for events prior to or during your stay totally beyond our control, e.g. destruction of property due to flood, fire, earthquakes or acts of nature; or if the property becomes uninhabitable due to irreparable damage or on Health & Safety grounds that could not reasonably have been foreseen. In such instances, refunds will be at the discretion of The Tin Shed Glamping management.
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION & FEEDBACK
We value you your opinion and if you have any feedback for us
whether it was something you really enjoyed or something you think we can improve on please contact us directly.
Should a customer feel they are not satisfied with the quality of service provided The Tin Shed Glamping management should be contacted directly whilst the customer is still on site. We require a fair opportunity to rectify any potential issues a customer may have whilst they are still on site. If the customer chooses to leave the site without informing management of any issues and then raises an issue after departure no refund shall be given.
